Ecovantage engaged Social Change Projects to help promote a range of energy efficiency programs offered under Victoria’s VEET scheme (now known as the VEU program) that had experienced poor uptake. These included residential heating and residential hot water rebates.
The goal was to increase the number of households who were upgrading the energy efficiency of their homes through editorial coverage in local newspapers across Victoria. This complemented existing print and online advertising.
Through sharing stories of local people and their positive experiences participating in the scheme, in addition to the environmental benefits, we were able to secure a large number of articles in regional and suburban newspapers within a short period of time.
The result was positive for Ecovantage, positive for the VEET scheme, positive for households and positive for the environment.
